This book is filled with military aircraft, terminology and is also a thrilling story of espionage. On the military side it has PJ's and SEALS for that added dimension of action. Also, some romance between some of the characters for that extra something.The spies are located in both North and South Korea and has one of the evil men traveling to the States with the purpose of obtaining information on counterfeiting. There is a portion of it that contains inferences about Bin Laden!
One quote that I found interesting was from TJ. He said the "US should have an entire command dedicated to Special Operations". I completely agree with this sentiment.
Characters are well defined, plot is well developed and all in all a most interesting read.
Most highly recommended.

Air Force Pararescuemen and women from the South Korean 707 Brigade HAHO jump into North Korea on a dangerous rescue mission. The mission, along with the extraction off of Mount Baekdu Complex is the best special ops piece I have ever read. Don’t want to spoil it! I am convinced that many of the things in this book especially the insertions/extractions has to have come from real missions.
Where to start?
If you enjoy Tom Clancy's works you will love this novel. I was drawn in from the first pages by the deft descriptions of landscape and the confident use, but not overuse, of military terminology. The characters were believable and given depth. The story was imminently plausible and frightening in the implications.
Simply an amazing read and I look forward to starting the next book in the series.
Never been in the military myself but I have a lot of respect for the people that served. This book give me some insight on what goes on and by an author that has been there done that. Truly has passion in his writing and gives you a reason to turn to the next page.
I enjoyed the specific details surrounding the HALO/HAHO jumps. The portrayal of Kim II Sung in his palace was interesting. The action in the book never stopped, and I as glued to a chair from the time I started it. This book could be a historical Air Force novel!!
From an F-4 Prado Push to a KC-10 towing an F-16 to a Fulton Recovery Extraction, the excitement never stops! I loved the line by Major Yi, “For her purpose, Major Yi knew she was a solitary HAHO jumper on a one-woman mission—land on the terrace of the Mount Baekdu Complex and…….” I left off the sentence because I do not want to give away the climax to a GREAT never stopping exciting thriller. Korea x 2 portrays the Kim regime for what it really is—Evil. This novel is as good as military thrillers get!
As a veteran I must say that the author hit the mark with his in depth military descriptions within the story. If you’re into military stories, you’re sure to enjoy this one. The author also hits the nail on the head when writing about Korea, reminded me of things I had heard about while in the army. He effortlessly takes you on several special operations on both sides of the border. Great read!
If you like military thrillers, you will love this book.
